Understanding UserWay Widget Support for Subdomains and subpages

Question 1: Does the UserWay Widget support subdomains?

Answer 1: Yes, the UserWay Widget does support subdomains. However, it’s important to note that each subdomain requires its own subscription, especially if you plan to use the Pro version of our widget. If you have multiple subdomains like blog.example.com and shop.example.com, you’ll need separate widget subscriptions for each to ensure smooth accessibility.

Question 2: Do I need multiple subscriptions if I have more than one subpage?

Answer 2: No, if the domain remains the same, e.g., example.com, and you have subpages such as example.com/page1, /page2 and others, even if they are level 2 or 3 pages and beyond, you can use the same subscription.

Question: What sets apart the main domain, subdomain, and subpage?

  • Main Domain: This is your website’s primary address (e.g., www.example.com) and serves as the central hub of your online presence.
  • Subdomain: Think of a subdomain as a unique section or category within your website (e.g., blog.example.com). It operates with its own unique URL while being associated with the main purchased domain.
  • Subpage: A subpage refers to a specific page within your website, identifiable by its unique address (e.g., www.example.com/about-us or www.example.com/contact-us).

Understanding these differences is essential for effective website management and customization.
