3 Steps to Installing UserWay’s SpaceCraft Accessibility Widget

Increasing the accessibility of your SpaceCraft website is key to making sure everyone gets a browsing experience that’s unique to their needs. UserWay’s AI-Powered Accessibility Solution will help you achieve that. This guide will walk you through manually installing the UserWay SpaceCraft accessibility plugin, helping you make your website more accessible.

Step 1: Register Your SpaceCraft website with UserWay

The first step to installing UserWay’s SpaceCraft Accessibility Widget is registering your site at UserWay.org by clicking the “Start Free Trial” button at the top right of the page.

Next, you will be prompted to complete all the listed steps and receive a unique code snippet. Copy the code or save it to a text file. You can find the code in the UserWay welcome email you received when registering.

If you’ve already made a UserWay account, there is no-need to re-register. Simply login and add the new website to your list. Then, use the same unique code used for your previous website. To find your code, navigate to the UserWay dashboard and click  “My Embed Script” in the top right menu – this is your unique code.

If you’re unable to locate your sign-in, you’ll also be able to locate the  sign-in credentials in the welcome email that you’ve received from UserWay.

Step 2: Select/Create a “Footer’ Page

Now, it’s time to paste your code into your SpaceCraft website’s dashboard. On the top menu, click “Content,” then hover your cursor under “Global Content” on the next page and select “Footer.”

1 - click content and go to footer text link

You’ll be redirected to a new page where you’ll need to add a new block to the footer. To do this, move your cursor below the first section. There you’ll see the light dashed line with a plus icon in the center.

Click on the plus icon, and you’ll see all the block types. In the second row, select the “HTML” block.

2 - click plus icon and select HTML

Next, click inside the second text field and paste your code. On top of the text field, you’ll see several buttons. Click “Save.”

3 - paste code and click save

Step 3: You’re all set! Now, Preview Your SpaceCraft Website

Now that you’ve followed all the above steps, you can preview your SpaceCraft website to ensure that your UserWay widget is installed and working.

You can also make customizations by signing in directly through your widget, or by navigating to UserWay.org and checking your dashboard for customization options.

If you think your SpaceCraft website requires  some more extensive accessibility features, consider upgrading to the UserWay Pro Widget.
