The internet should be fully accessible to everyone. That’s why, if you’re starting your business on Cafe24, you should do everything you can to ensure that anyone who wants to access your online store can do so without barriers. Complying with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations doesn’t have to be complicated. With UserWay’s Accessibility Widget built right into the Cafe24 e-commerce platform, you can ensure that your site meets these guidelines. We’ll show you how!
Step 1: Log into your Cafe24 Account
When you log into your Cafe24 account, your administrative page will be the first to open. Select the “Apps” option from the left-side menu.
Step 2: Open the Cafe24 App Store
From there, make sure you are looking in the tab “My apps,” and scroll down to the second section on the page called “Installed apps.” On the right side of this section, click the button that says “Visit Cafe24 Store,” and a new browser window of the Cafe24 app store will open.
Step 3: Select the UserWay Accessibility Widget
Look at the “Trending Apps This Week” section for the UserWay Accessibility Widget.
If it’s not there, you can search for it in the search bar by clicking the magnifying glass icon at the top right of the page and typing in “UserWay.” In the search results page, select “UserWay Accessibility Widget.”
Step 4: Install the UserWay Accessibility Widget
On the UserWay Accessibility Widget installation page, click the blue “Install” button on the right side of the page, and click “Accept” on the permissions page that will open.
Step 5: You Now Have the Free Version
You’re all set! You have installed the free UserWay widget.
Step 6: Customize your Widget
You can customize the widget’s look and feel by scrolling down the “Your Widget” tab on the settings page. Don’t forget to save your settings to apply them to your website by clicking the “Save Settings” button.
Step 7: Generate an Accessibility Statement
On your settings page, you can also access the Accessibility Statement Generator by selecting the “Accessibility Statement” tab at the top of the page. Your statement will be emailed to you right away at the email you provided.
Step 8: Preview Your Website
To ensure that your settings have been saved and that the widget is working properly on your site, be sure to preview it.
Step 9: Upgrade Your Widget
You can also upgrade your widget from the settings page by selecting the “Your Widget” tab and clicking on the green “Upgrade Now” button on the right side of the page.
This will allow you to access more features like the “Reports and Docs” tab to test your website’s ADA compliance.
